Why an Editorial Policy Matters
Online gambling is a highly regulated industry, and players deserve information they can trust. This policy sets out the principles every piece of content on this site must meet before publication, and the processes we use to keep that content accurate over time. We publish it openly because transparency is the foundation of credibility.
Research and Sourcing
Every casino review begins with a real account, real deposits, real play and a real withdrawal. We do not review casinos based on press releases or screenshots. Slot reviews are written after meaningful play, not after watching a demo for ninety seconds. Statistical claims — RTP figures, volatility ratings, jackpot sizes — are sourced from the provider or operator and linked where possible. UKGC rules, codes of practice and licence conditions are cited directly from the Commission’s website.
Writing Standards
We write in plain English (UK spelling) and aim for clarity over jargon. Marketing language such as “huge wins guaranteed” or “beat the casino” never appears in our content because such claims are both misleading and contrary to UK advertising rules. We make clear when something is opinion and when it is fact. Where there is reasonable disagreement, for example on the best slot strategy or the value of a particular bonus, we present the alternatives rather than pretending there is only one answer.
Fact-Checking and Editing
Every article passes through an editor before publication. The editor verifies that any factual claims can be substantiated, that bonus terms match the operator’s current promotions page, and that responsible gambling messaging is present where appropriate. Where we have made errors in the past we have corrected them publicly rather than quietly amending the page.
Updates and Review Cycles
Casino reviews are reviewed at least every six months and immediately if a significant change occurs — a licensing action, a payment method change, a new bonus structure. Guides are reviewed annually and updated whenever the underlying rules change, for example following a UKGC consultation outcome. News articles carry a published date and, where substantially revised, an updated date.
Corrections and Complaints
If you spot an error, please email us via the Contact page. We aim to respond within three working days. Substantive corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article. Complaints about a casino we have reviewed should be raised first with the operator, then with an Alternative Dispute Resolution provider listed in our complaint guide, and finally with the UK Gambling Commission. We are happy to point you in the right direction.
